Search no more the full Akaroa experience has everything that you and your group needs to properly discover all aspects of Akaroa. Discover our local food and wine paired with locals sharing this special part of NZ with you as they take you around to see our unique wildlife and stunning scenery. For your escapade in Akaroa join Ecoseaker Harbour Cruise with Steve at the helm of his Ray-glass Protector (an ex America’s Cup Chase boat & Coastguard Marine Rescue Vessel) an exciting, fun, safe sea-going boat that you will discover the beauty of the water and maybe encounter some of its unique habitants, the Hector's Dolphins. Following your thrilling harbour cruise, it will be time for you and your group to relax and open up your taste buds at French Peak Vineyard with Renan. There, either in its cosy cellar door or, on a nice sunny day, in a lovely courtyard overlooking the vineyard, you and your group will discover some of the award-winning local produce of Banks Peninsula with wine tasting and a platter to share including cheese, smoke salmon, cured meat and more seasonal produce. Your guide will explain why that produce is so exceptional and the process of how it is grown and made. As a bonus, you can ask to stop on the way back to meet the producers behind it all and purchase these goodies. You and your group will finish the day with a cocktail especially made for our tour by award-winning Ma Maison restaurant on the waterfront. This cocktail is a taste of Akaroa and a nice way to end your afternoon with a glorious view of the stunning harbour. Soft drinks options available too. But your journey doesn’t have to stop here, if you wish to make your excursion in Akaroa longer and escape it all, simply add “Pōhatu Penguins – 24-hour package” to spend the night in the middle of a penguin colony and discover the wildside of Banks Peninsula, an ancient forest and the option to kayak the first marine reserve on the east-coast of the South Island. Bliss. |
